Character Building...
There is just something about building a character to make it usable for animation that really makes me happy. It's like grown up lego but on the computer with a touch of drawing and colouring.

You have to have a eye for detail and also an good understanding of how the character is suppose to move. Many studios treat a character building job as a entry level position and that is something I strongly disagree with. I feel in order to be a character builder you must first learn animation, learn how things move, otherwise your builds will be stiff and look like puppets rather than have smooth movement and look like the character has life.

There will be a Harmony 12 character building demo coming to this site soon. A character is in the stages of development and I will be sitting down to build it sometime soon.

Meanwhile here is a demo of a poodle I built using Toonboom Animate Pro 3 and a turnaround of a mouse I built in Flash....

Poodle Build Start To Finish
The video is a demonstration of the process of the build being developed from start to finish. This build took approximately 5 hours to do using Toonboom Animate Pro 3. Normally I prefer would use Toonboom Harmony,
Flash Mouse
